Sorry everyone...but I've decided to move my blog over to wordpress. I like the layout better, and I feel it really shows off my pictures. So follow me on over to wordpress!
I posted last week about my photoshoot with Harper, and I'm not sure why I didn't post this pic along with the other ones. To me, this encompasses who the Johnson family is. One with nature...and Harper fits right in.
Happy New Year Everyone! I hope everyone has had a wonderful holiday season! Andy and I just arrived home after a week long vacation of visiting families and friends. We traveled through seven states, staying overnight in three of them (not counting South Carolina where we live). It was a great trip, but wow...are we GLAD TO BE HOME! Our last stop was the Chick-fil-A bowl in Atlanta, Ga. Even though we lost it was great to be a part of the Vol nation again :)
My brother rode up two escalators like Buddy the elf... Our seats were literally in the last row...but this made for some great shots!
Today I got to take pictures of Jessica and Jeremy's son, Harper. Jessica is one of my closest friends (her dad married Andy and I!). I haven't seen Harper since he turned one last February. Boy has he grown!
Harper's shirt...'Peace, love and cookies' Thanks Jessica and Jeremy!
Last night I got to photograph the birthday party of Pam Baumann. I lived next door to the Baumanns' for nearly all of my childhood. We go WAAAY back, so I was thrilled when I was asked to take pictures of the event. Pam has five children and EIGHT grand-children...all very young. Sometimes I got sidetracked just watching them and then remembered I was supposed to be taking pictures :)
Surprise! Of course I'm drawn to the sweets... Brannon is unbelievably photogenic. He would come over with different props. Love him! Anna Kate...grazing on the leftover food at the kids table. If you haven't recognized this girl...she is the model on my blog title :) Braxton...very excited about the lemon sorbet :) Coworkers....and friends :) Olivia was camera shy at first, but all of the sudden she decided she was ready to pose...complete with a batman mask. Pam with all eight of her grandchildren. I think this captures the mood perfectly ;) The entire Baumann family...thank goodness Andrew was able to pop in for the photo :) Happy Birthday Pam!
I am what I call 'Creative A.D.D'. I love creating art, but I tend to get bored with one thing, which leads to discovering new endeavors. By day I am a landscape designer for Southern Shade Tree, but by night(or by weekends) I am a photographer. I shoot more of a documentary style, capturing those raw moments that aren't posed. Lifestyle, engagement, wedding, and maternity are what I love, but if you have other ideas I am open-minded. Interested? Shoot me an email: marthacate.spencer@gmail.com
